On March 31, 2026, we reviewed all accounts on our servers that were using a weak MD5 password hash. Those accounts were set to force a password change upon the next login, many have already done that, some however, have not. Today we are performing a password change on all remaining accounts using a weak MD5 hash.
You have likely received a notice that your password has changed. This is for your own safety and you will now need to use the Forgot Password link to gain access to your cPanel account.
“One hour is all an attacker needs to crack three out of every five passwords they’ve found in a leak,” Kaspersky noted.
